How to Donate Literature

We are best able to re-distribute Christian Science literature in very good condition, but we accept almost any condition from any era. We accept periodicals, books, pamphlets, audio, video, posters, pictures, postcards, and out-of-print, unusual, and collectible items. We appreciate knowing how many boxes are coming and estimated day of arrival. Please leave a phone message, email, or use our contact form.

Our Shipping Recommendation

Usually the least expensive way to send us packages is U.S. Postal Service “Media Mail” (formerly known as “Book Rate”), which currently costs in the range of USD $30 per package about the size of a file box packed full of books. Media Mail includes books, pamphlets, audio/video, and most CS periodicals (The Monitor does NOT qualify for Media Mail because of the advertisements).

Use a strong box (“heavy duty” if possible) and pack boxes very tightly so contents don’t shift. Consider using pieces of cardboard as dividers to keep stacks of books in place and durable packing matterial. Media Mail boxes go through a lot of abuse on their way. We recommend NOT using the boxes sold at Post Offices —they don’t hold up when filled with books.

Not Currently Accepted

· Brown pew hymnals in poor condition (tears, heavy wear, discoloration).

· Items with mold or mildew (unless they are rare or high quality items worth restoring)

· Please first try to find new homes for bound volumes of CS Journal and Sentinel in your local area (with churches, practitioners, nurses, CS-related facilities), then contact us to discuss your situation.

- We don’t need any more Concordances, unless they are in like-new condition, or very unusual edition (early edition, leather, extra small, extra large, unusual color, etc)
